Peace building, conflict resolution and transformation

Western Uganda and Rwenzori region has been volatile and prone to conflicts since colonial time due to unfair sharing and distribution of essential resources and services that build up communities. Fair share is one of the ethics in permaculture fair share. PEACE Foundation aims at fostering opportunities for peace, mutual respect and inclusion of all in learning and working together with understanding that people living are faced by the same challenges whose durable solutions must come from the same people irrespective of their diversity. PEACE Foundation excitement is in bringing together communities, facilitating individual and collective effort to transform their communities through permaculture.

This has helped communities to accept each other and learn how to tolerate and support one another through permaculture.
