Tourism and cultural exchange is a fundamental and integral facet PEACE Foundation perceives and fosters as a means to sustainability and durable peace within the broader ecosystem. By integrating and satisfying curiosity in learning cross cultural approaches to life, new ways and practices geared towards life goals and objectives permaculture creates pathways to exploration, discovery and adapting oneself to new life demands in a changing world. Whereas, Uganda is the leading tourism destination with amazing and fascinating natural tourism endowments, community ecotourism remains unexplored despite the benefits and opportunity associated with community eco-tourism and cross-cultural exchange. Learning and diving into our diverse cultures and language(s) is a rich tourism attraction adding up to the community and national beauty and heritage. PEACE Foundation provides such learning spaces and opportunities, home based attachments for visiting teams into the local culture, learning and enchantments within local communities. Through our partner individuals and institutions in the global North we look forward to creating such learning and technology transfer spaces and opportunities in the global north. In doing this PEACE Foundation is determined to establishing and maintaining a two way relationship between communities in the global North and the global South based on mutual collaboration, partnership and respect of our diversities and identity as well as values, goals and objectives of the PEACE Foundation. This is helping us promote and appreciate our cultural heritage and identity and contribute, promote values that shape and add value the local tourism potential. We promote small enterprises that are eco-and climate smart in nature such as crafts, agroforestry, agri-tourism, cultural dance and drama, socio-cultural festivals, sports and other best practices to generate income for community support initiatives, prevent and protect the environment and harness opportunities for social cohesion, peace and continuous learning and action.
