Education

We believe that education is not only a foundation tool to sustainable well-being but also a means to liberating generations from captivity of ignorance, poverty and disease. Many families in our rural communities hardly afford basic essentials for basic education. The effect of this is increasing costs and social damage in communities characterised by high population of illiterate, uncivilised and irresponsible individuals, with limited ability to make sensible choice and decisions in life.

PEACE Foundation with frontline experience and knowledge of the challenges faced by school age going children from poor and poorest of the poor families in Africa, prioritizes mapping and assessment of vulnerable children and children at risk of not being able to continue their education. PEACE Foundation in collaboration with families and guardians provides basic scholastic materials such as books and pens, uniform kits and school fees contribution based on assessment. More girls are given priority because their cultural marginalisation despite their great contribution to society. In doing this, we belief that we can exercise faithfully our values towards fair share, stewardship & testifying to God’s love for nature and humanity. 

This is done in spirit of  love, care and fair share and through this we identify specific gaps and areas of support in schools where permaculture can add value to the education system.
